  • Partnership with Omnicell opens doors to Gastro Health’s 150 locations.
  • Brentwood Pharmacy linkage extends reach into OneGI’s 200+ gastroenterologist network.
  • Agreements expected to nearly double specialty pharmacy access for GIMOTI.

Evoke Pharma announced a set of distribution agreements intended to materially broaden patient access to GIMOTI® nasal spray, the only FDA-approved intranasal treatment for adults with acute and recurrent diabetic gastroparesis. The company said strategic arrangements with Omnicell (NASDAQ: OMCL) and Brentwood Pharmacy will increase availability of the product through specialty pharmacy channels that serve gastroenterology practices.

Under the Omnicell arrangement, GIMOTI will be made available to large gastroenterology organizations, including Gastro Health, which operates roughly 150 locations across seven states. The Brentwood Pharmacy relationship is expected to facilitate dispensing to members of the OneGI network, comprised of more than 200 practicing gastroenterologists. Collectively, Evoke estimates these agreements will nearly double the number of specialty pharmacies carrying GIMOTI, and management indicated this should improve coverage under some insurance plans by simplifying pharmacy pathways for prescribers and patients.

From a commercial perspective, the moves address two common early-stage distribution challenges: prescriber access to a product within their preferred dispensing networks, and payer acceptance that often follows wider specialty pharmacy adoption. Greater penetration into established gastroenterology and specialty pharmacy channels can reduce logistical friction for clinicians who manage diabetic gastroparesis and may accelerate patient access where coverage is in place.

However, several execution risks remain. Expansion of pharmacy access does not automatically translate into sustained prescription growth — uptake will depend on prescriber awareness, formulary placements, prior-authorization processes, and real-world tolerability and outcomes. The announcement does not disclose economic terms or expected incremental revenue timing, leaving uncertainty around near-term financial impact. Additionally, while the company frames the network increase as “nearly doubling” pharmacy access, the baseline number and geographic distribution of those pharmacies were not provided, which matters for interpreting the practical reach of these deals.
