Cimpress plc (NASDAQ:CMPR), the parent of Vistaprint, has set a clear financial path: management guides to higher adjusted EBITDA and a faster fall in leverage over the next two fiscal years. Fiscal 2026 revenue reached $3.74 billion, but only 4% of that growth was organic in constant currency.

Latest Company Context

For fiscal 2026, Cimpress reported revenue of $3.74 billion, up 10% reported and 4% organic in constant currency, and adjusted EBITDA of $458.5 million, up 6%. Fourth-quarter adjusted EBITDA was $120.4 million. The quarter included $7.1 million of North American manufacturing start-up costs, a $4.7 million write-off of disputed Canadian duty-drawback receivables and $1.8 million of inventory write-downs, partly offset by $6.9 million in IEEPA tariff refunds.

Adjusted free cash flow was $122.4 million for the year. Net leverage was 2.9 times trailing EBITDA, down from 3.1 times. Liquidity included $249 million of cash and a $250 million revolver, and a new $1.1 billion term loan due 2033 replaced one due 2028.

Key Business and Index Drivers

Debt reduction is the prominent driver. Management expects net leverage to fall to about 2.5 times by the end of fiscal 2027 and well below 2.0 times by the end of fiscal 2028. As leverage falls, a larger share of cash flow could be directed toward equity holders, although buybacks were mentioned only as a possible use of capital and no amounts were disclosed.

Strategy is the second driver. Cimpress describes a roughly $100 billion market in customized physical marketing products and branded merchandise. A partnership with Canva brings Vistaprint products into Canva, launched in the United States and Canada with planned expansion to more than 25 further countries by the end of September; financial terms were not disclosed. The Saxoprint acquisition has closed and supports a cross-fulfillment strategy.

Because print production is physical and global, tariff and trade items, as seen in the duty-drawback dispute and tariff refunds, add some volatility to reported results, and one-off items may continue to distort quarter-to-quarter comparisons.

What Investors Should Watch

Fiscal 2027 guidance calls for reported revenue growth of at least 7%, including at least 3% organic growth in constant currency, net income of at least $125 million, adjusted EBITDA of at least $520 million, operating cash flow of about $370 million and adjusted free cash flow of about $200 million. For fiscal 2028, the adjusted EBITDA target was raised to at least $615 million, with organic growth of 4% to 6%, net income of at least $192 million and free cash flow of about $275 million.

Items that could matter include:

● Whether organic growth accelerates toward the 4% to 6% target from the 3% to 4% range of recent periods.

● Early traction from the Canva channel as it expands internationally.

● The Canadian duty-drawback dispute outcome.

● Leverage progress toward 2.5 times.

Quarterly report dates are unconfirmed.

Deleveraging Targets and Organic Growth Execution

Cimpress combines targets for sharper cash generation with a still-moderate organic growth rate, so execution may be the deciding factor. Guidance represents management's expectations.
