Ryde Group Ltd (NYSE:RYDE), Singapore’s homegrown mobility and quick-commerce platform, has completed a major step in expanding career opportunities for its driver-partners. The company announced that the first cohort of drivers has successfully completed the Facilities and Security Management Upskilling Programme, developed in collaboration with Concorde International Group Ltd (NASDAQ:CIGL).

This initiative is part of a strategic partnership unveiled in October 2025. It aims to help drivers access additional income streams outside traditional ride-hailing and delivery roles by equipping them with industry-recognized skill certifications.

The programme’s completion represents Ryde’s ongoing commitment to creating sustainable, future-ready career pathways for its growing driver community.

Unlocking New Sectors of Work for Drivers

The upskilling initiative enables Ryde’s drivers to pursue flexible, on-demand roles across facilities operations, event support, and security services. Participants underwent a blended training structure, which included online learning, hands-on sessions, and real-world assessments.

With formal certification now in hand, driver-partners have become eligible for assignments within Ryde’s wider partner ecosystem. This allows them to diversify income sources while retaining the flexibility typical of gig-based work.

According to Mike Liu, Ryde’s Business Development Manager, the programme reflects the company’s intent to build a more empowering economic model for drivers. By creating access to new sectors, Ryde supports long-term employability in Singapore’s evolving workforce landscape.

Delivering on Ryde’s ‘7 Driver Commitments’

The new training pathway reinforces the principles of Ryde’s ‘7 Driver Commitments’, which emphasize income stability, professional advancement, welfare, and career flexibility.

Ryde’s vision extends beyond transportation services—it strives to build a driver-centric ecosystem where gig workers can upskill, diversify and secure more resilient earnings.

Mr. Liu noted that drivers are viewed as professionals with multiple career routes, and this partnership with Concorde contributes meaningfully to Singapore’s broader workforce transformation objectives.

Concorde’s expertise in smart security and facilities solutions further strengthens the initiative. The company’s “I-Guarding Solutions” and patented I-Man Facility Sprinter represent leading innovations that align with future demand in the facilities management sector.

Conclusion

Ryde’s collaboration with Concorde marks a pivotal progression toward reshaping the driver workforce narrative. By offering accredited training and access to new professional sectors, Ryde continues to evolve its platform into a multi-dimensional opportunity ecosystem. The programme sets the stage for a more inclusive gig economy where drivers can build sustainable, diversified careers.

Ryde Groups’ shares closed at USD 0.46, marking a 1.02% decrease from the prior session.
