In the second quarter of fiscal year 2025, OMF Financial Corp. reported net interest income of USD 1,022.0 million, up 10.8% from USD 922.0 million in the second quarter of fiscal year 2024, driven by 7% growth in managed receivables and a 67 basis point improvement in consumer loan yield. Net income rose 135.2% to USD 167.0 million from USD 71.0 million, supported by higher net interest income and lower provisions for finance receivable losses, partially offset by increased operating expenses. Net cash from operating activities increased 8.7% to USD 774.0 million, while cash and cash equivalents grew 67.9% to USD 769.0 million, reflecting inflows from operating and financing activities partially offset by investing outflows.

In March 2025, AM Best affirmed the B++ (Good) Financial Strength Rating and “bbb” (Good) Long-Term Issuer Credit Ratings for American Health and Life Insurance Company and Triton Insurance Company, both subsidiaries of OneMain Financial, with stable outlooks reflecting solid balance sheets, operating performance, and risk management practices. In the same month, OneMain Financial appointed Andrew D. Macdonald to its Board of Directors. Macdonald, CEO of Consilio LLC, brings experience in revenue growth, profitability, and data science to support the company’s mission of enhancing financial well-being for its customers.
Company Outlook
For full-year 2025, OneMain Financial expects managed receivables to grow 5–8%, with revenue projected at the high end of the 6–8% range. Net charge-offs are anticipated in the lower half of 7.5–8%, narrowed to 7.5–7.8% for commercial and industrial loans, while the operating expense ratio is expected to be around 6.6%. Capital generation is projected to increase, supported by improvements in credit performance, strategic product initiatives, and a resilient non-prime consumer base amid a stable economic environment.
