Record Quarter: Why Is TTMX Rising the Day After TTM's Results?
Tradr 2X Long TTMI Daily ETF (CBOE:TTMX) rose 12.15% to $2.82 on Friday, October 23. The fund seeks 2x the daily return of TTM Technologies (NASDAQ:TTMI), which implies a gain of about 6.1% in the shares, calculated, one session after the company posted third-quarter results on Thursday, October 22.
TTM makes printed circuit boards and radio-frequency assemblies for data center, aerospace and defense, medical and industrial customers. Adjusted EPS of $1.46 beat estimates of $1.26 by 16.06%, and sales of $1,203.9 million were a record, up 60% from $752.7 million. Both cleared the top of August guidance of $1.10 billion to $1.14 billion in sales.
What Powered the Beat in Data Center and Margins?
Data center and networking made up 41% of sales and grew 115%, while medical, industrial and instrumentation sales rose 97%. Adjusted EBITDA was $242.3 million, a 20.1% margin versus 16.1% a year earlier, and GAAP EPS was $0.79 against $0.50.
The commercial segment grew 93% to $787.9 million. Aerospace and defense rose 21% to $416.5 million with a program backlog of $2.0 billion, and total book-to-bill was 2.13.
Segment operating income was $243.3 million versus $116.0 million, and operating cash flow was $154.7 million. For the first nine months, sales were $3,053.9 million and adjusted EPS was $3.21 versus $1.75, calculated growth of about 83% in EPS.
2027 Outlook: How Large a Step-Up Did TTM Signal?
Fourth-quarter sales are guided to $1.42 billion to $1.44 billion with adjusted EPS of $1.77 to $1.83. Preliminary 2027 sales of $6.5 billion to $6.75 billion and adjusted EPS of $8.10 to $8.90 sit about 70% above the 2026 EPS midpoint, calculated.
The 2027 outlook excludes the pending $650 million Ophir Optics acquisition and other deals. Net leverage was 2.8 times after the Epiq closing, with a target of 1.5 to 2.0 times. The company's market value was about $7.78 billion.
TTMX Mechanics: What Do a $2.82 Price and Daily Reset Mean?
Tradr launched TTMX on June 30, 2026. It uses swaps for 200% daily exposure, charges 1.49% and held about $1.04 million in assets. The fund closed at $9.14 on August 27 and stands near $2.82, a decline of about 69%, calculated, which shows how a daily-reset product can drift in a volatile stretch even when the company reports strong results.
A 6.1% implied gain in the shares is modest next to the step-up in guidance, so the fund's 12.15% rise mainly reflects the 2x factor. The next scheduled events are the expected closing of the Ophir deal and the fourth-quarter report, for which the company guided sales roughly 19% above the third quarter at the midpoint, calculated. Investors will also watch whether data center growth keeps outpacing aerospace and defense, and how margins hold as acquisitions close. This article is informational and not a recommendation. The screened figures used here are as of October 23, 2026, and later company updates will reset the comparison.
