Interparfums' (NASDAQ:IPAR) $0.80 quarterly dividend trades with a September 15 Record Date and September 30 payment date. Chairman and CEO Jean Madar said results "reflect the benefits of a diversified Brand portfolio, the continued strength of the global fragrance category, and steady consumer demand," despite "certain geopolitical and regional pressures."
Dividend Program and Shareholder Returns
Interparfums declared a $0.80 per share regular quarterly cash dividend, payable September 30 to shareholders of record September 15. The annualized dividend is $3.20 per share, with dividends declared per share totaling $1.60 for the first half of 2026, a payout supported by the company's $211 million cash position and modest long-term Debt of roughly $143 million. Interparfums has maintained this dividend rate through a period of margin compression, drawing on its comparatively strong Balance Sheet rather than reducing the payout to match the sequential Earnings dip.
About the Company
Interparfums creates, develops, manufactures and distributes prestige fragrances under licensing agreements with brand owners including Coach, Jimmy Choo, Montblanc, Lacoste, Longchamp, MCM, Moncler, Kate Spade and Van Cleef & Arpels, distributed in more than 120 countries.
Financial Performance Behind the Payout
Interparfums reported second-quarter net sales of $341 million, up 2% year over year, with diluted EPS of $0.95, down from $0.99 a year earlier. First-half net sales increased 2% to $686 million, with diluted EPS of $2.31, essentially flat versus $2.32. Net Income attributable to Interparfums was $73.9 million for the first half, essentially unchanged year over year. Operating Income declined to $49 million in the quarter and $123 million for the first half, with operating margins falling to 14.4% and 17.9% respectively, which the company attributed mainly to higher marketing, royalty and logistics costs. The company ended June 30 with $211 million in cash, cash equivalents and short-term investments, improved Operating Cash Flow of $46 million, and inventories down 12%.
Brand and Regional Performance
Growth was led by North America, Asia/Pacific and Central/South America, and by brands including Coach, Jimmy Choo, Montblanc, GUESS and Ferragamo, while Eastern Europe, the Middle East/Africa and Lacoste declined. Management reaffirmed its 2026 guidance of $1.48 billion in net sales and $4.85 diluted EPS, which the company said includes the expected benefit of $17.6 million of Tariff refunds, of which $8.7 million was received in the second quarter.
Outlook
Guidance reaffirmation despite this quarter's margin compression rests partly on the remaining tariff refunds still to be recognized in the second half. The brand and regional mix, growth concentrated in North America and Asia/Pacific against declines in Eastern Europe and Lacoste, is the more informative signal than the aggregate 2% sales figure.
