WISeKey International Holding Ltd (NASDAQ:WKEY), together with itssubsidiariesSEALSQ Corp (NASDAQ:LAES) and WISeSat.Space, has announced the successful launch of its latest WISeSat satellite aboard a SpaceX Falcon 9 on the Transporter-16 mission. The achievement strengthens WISeSat’s long-term vision: deploying a space-based platform that delivers secure, low-power IoT connectivity, cyber-resilient communications, and real-time data services for global industries. 

This latest launch enhances WISeSat’s growing constellation, continuing a collaboration with SpaceX that has enabled recurring and reliable access to orbit. With expanded coverage and enhanced data-availability capabilities, the newest satellite supports applications in industrial IoT, environmental monitoring, critical-infrastructure protection, and sovereign communications.

Next-Generation Technology for Secure Communications 

The new WISeSat satellite introduces a host of advanced features designed to elevate the performance and adaptability of the constellation. A core upgrade is its software-defined radio system, which allows dynamic reconfiguration in space, helping the satellite adapt to evolving global communication standards without requiring physical modification. 

Higher data-rate communication capabilities also enable more efficient and secure data transfer—an essential feature for mission-critical industries, cybersecurity operations, and high-density IoT deployments. SEALSQ’s post-quantum chips, designed for future-proof cybersecurity, integrate across the WISeSat platform, positioning the constellation as a leader in secure satellite-IoT communication. 

Beginning with a launch planned for early 2026, WISeSat will support quantum-safe key distribution for vital sectors including energy, transportation, and smart-city systems. Through its orbital infrastructure, WISeSat aims to deliver quantum-resistant digital identities to billions of IoT devices, enabling trusted connectivity even in remote regions. 

Strengthening Europe’s Space and Cybersecurity Ecosystem
