Key Highlights

  • Buyer intent data is due inside Demandbase from January, within a Q1 2027 target.
  • Individual clicks, downloads, views and searches would be visible, not just account summaries.
  • The company reports about 58 million permissioned audience members across 220 technology properties.
  • Financial terms were not disclosed, so the revenue effect remains uncertain.

What Was Announced

Informa TechTarget (NASDAQ:TTGT) said on Wednesday that it intends to connect its Buyer Intelligence product to Demandbase, an account-based marketing platform. Joint customers are expected to gain access from January, with the full integration targeted for the first quarter of 2027.

The arrangement extends a narrower link launched last year, the Account Intent Feed. Moving from a feed to a native connection suggests both companies see more value in placing the data where marketers already work.

Why Individual-Level Data Matters

Most intent data shows which companies appear to be researching a subject. Informa TechTarget says its product goes further by recording what named individuals at those companies do, including clicks, downloads, content views and searches.

The company lists several uses inside Demandbase: account scoring, propensity modeling, identifying buying groups, building target lists and running campaigns across channels. The signals include content topics, pain points and activity scores, all drawn from contacts who have opted in.

The Audience Behind the Signals

The data comes from the company's editorial sites and BrightTALK webinar communities. It says these reach technology buyers across more than 220 properties and about 58 million permissioned members, and that daily signal volume runs into the millions.

These are the company's own figures. The announcement offers no outside test of how reliably such behavior predicts a purchase, which is the question buyers of intent data tend to care about most.

What Each Side Said

An Informa TechTarget executive responsible for revenue operations and strategy called Demandbase a premier partner and said the integration is a major priority. The aim, the executive said, is to help customers move from signal to action faster and with more precision.

A senior partnerships manager at Demandbase said combining person-level insight with account intelligence could give customers a clearer view of their buyers.

Risks and Open Questions

Commercial details were not disclosed, including pricing, revenue sharing and any expected lift to Informa TechTarget's results. The benefit may depend on how many Demandbase customers adopt the feature and whether richer data improves pipeline outcomes.

The timetable is a target and could slip. Data tied to identifiable individuals may also draw scrutiny under privacy rules, even where contacts have opted in, so compliance practices could influence how widely the product is used.
