  • Aptiv to demonstrate intelligent edge solutions at CES 2026
  • Focus on real-time perception, decision-making, and actuation
  • Technologies span automotive, robotics, aerospace, and connectivity

Aptiv PLC (NYSE:APTV), a global industrial technology company, announced it will present its latest intelligent edge solutions at CES 2026, illustrating how devices can sense, think, and act in real time while optimizing performance throughout their lifecycle. The company said its approach brings advanced computing and artificial intelligence closer to where data is generated, reducing reliance on centralized cloud systems and enabling faster response times.

“At CES 2026, we’re demonstrating how Aptiv enables real-time perception, decision-making, and actuation—transforming how vehicles and other intelligent, connected devices deliver safer, more adaptive, and smarter experiences,” said Javed Khan, Executive Vice President and President of Intelligent Systems at Aptiv. “We’re leveraging our leading technologies—proven in millions of vehicles on the road today—and successfully extending them into other mission-critical applications from robotics to aerospace and beyond.”

Automated Mobility and ADAS

In the automotive segment, Aptiv plans to showcase its next-generation end-to-end AI-powered advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) platform. The platform is designed to support enhanced hands-free (L2++) functionality across highway and urban driving environments. According to the company, the system uses AI-based perception, sensor fusion, and behavior planning that learn from real-world driving data and evolve over time.

Central to this platform are Aptiv’s Gen 8 radar systems, which are designed to deliver extended range, improved resolution, and object detection across varying conditions. These radars are complemented by the Aptiv PULSE™ sensor, which combines surround-view cameras with ultra-short-range radar to support 360-degree perception across urban, highway, and parking scenarios.

Digital Cockpit and In-Cabin Systems

Aptiv will also present updates to its Digital Cockpit technologies, aimed at supporting safety and in-cabin interaction in passenger and commercial vehicles. The company’s Driver Monitoring System and Cabin Monitoring System use vision and radar sensing to assess occupancy and driver status. Aptiv noted that vision-based sensing can replace traditional seat-based occupant detection, with implications for system complexity and vehicle reconfigurability.

Personalization features on display include the Cockpit Sound Suite, Face ID, and modular software built on the Aptiv Android Automotive Framework. These technologies are designed to support user profiles, directional audio alerts, and in-cabin adjustments.

Connectivity, Software, and Multi-Industry Applications

At CES 2026, Aptiv will also highlight its collaboration with Verizon around Cellular Vehicle-to-Everything (C-V2X) technology. Using the Aptiv LINC™ Software Platform alongside Verizon’s Edge Transportation Exchange, the demonstration will explore how low-latency 5G communication can support applications such as sharing pedestrian or cyclist detection between vehicles.

Beyond automotive use cases, Aptiv’s pavilion will feature robotics and aerospace demonstrations, including collaborative robots and autonomous mobile robots for material handling. The company said these exhibits reflect the application of its edge computing, sensing, and software platforms across multiple industries.
