(NYSE:IR), a global provider of flow creation and life science and industrial solutions, has acquired Scinomix, Inc., a U.S.-based company focused on laboratory automation technologies. The acquisition expands Ingersoll Rand’s presence in the life sciences space and adds specialized capabilities related to sample handling and workflow automation.

Scinomix designs and manufactures technologies aimed at streamlining automation workflows across a range of laboratory environments. Its solutions support throughput, accuracy, and traceability in industries such as clinical diagnostics, pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, forensic science, agriculture, and genetic testing.

The company specializes in systems used for labeling, handling, barcode scanning, and capping of laboratory equipment, including tubes, vials, microplates, and liquid samples. Strategic Fit Within Ingersoll Rand

Following the transaction, Scinomix will join Ingersoll Rand’s Life Sciences platform within the Precision and Science Technologies (P&ST) segment. The acquisition allows Ingersoll Rand to combine Scinomix’s automation tools with its existing technologies, creating broader end-to-end workflow solutions for laboratory customers.

According to the company, the combination is intended to address operational needs across multiple stages of lab processes, from sample preparation to identification and handling, within a single platform.
