Key Highlights

  • Third-quarter 2026 Revenue was USD 114.4 million, up 104% from USD 56.0 million a year earlier and the highest quarterly level since the third quarter of 2014.
  • Net income fell 35% to USD 13.3 million, or USD 0.34 per diluted share, because the prior-year quarter included a USD 12.6 million non-cash tax benefit.
  • Adjusted EBITDA rose 87% to USD 19.5 million, and full-year 2026 guidance was lifted to USD 382 million to USD 390 million of revenue from USD 360 million to USD 370 million.
  • International Chemistry revenue reached USD 28.4 million, or 25% of the total, compared with USD 2.2 million a year earlier, reflecting work in the Middle East.

Twelve-Year Revenue High and a Higher Full-Year Outlook

Flotek Industries (NYSE:FTK), a Houston company combining oilfield chemistry with near real-time data analytics, reported third-quarter 2026 results on November 3, 2026. Revenue of USD 114.4 million more than doubled from USD 56.0 million, with both the Chemistry Technologies and Data Analytics segments up 104%. Nine-month revenue rose 67% to USD 283.8 million. The company raised 2026 guidance for the second time, to USD 382 million to USD 390 million of revenue and USD 59 million to USD 62 million of adjusted EBITDA, from USD 50 million to USD 54 million previously. Guidance is a management expectation, not a result.

Why Faster Sales Did Not Lift Net Income or Gross Margin

Gross profit rose 54% to USD 27.4 million, but gross Margin slipped to 24% from 32%. The company attributes this mainly to a USD 7.8 million drop in revenue tied to minimum purchase requirements under its Supply agreement with ProFrac Services, a revenue stream with no associated cost, as actual related-party sales outgrew the minimum. Related-party Chemistry revenue rose 87% to USD 50.3 million. Net income comparisons are also distorted, since the year-ago figure included the USD 12.6 million tax benefit. Revenue, net income and adjusted EBITDA have each grown in every quarter of 2026. Management said Data Analytics generated 45% of Gross Profit on only 16% of revenue. SG&A rose to USD 8.5 million on Stock Compensation and Bonus costs.

Customer Concentration, Debt and the 2027 Capital Plan

Roughly 44% of third-quarter revenue came from the related party, on simple arithmetic, and the company lists dependence on ProFrac, its indebtedness, covenant compliance, Middle East operations and pending Shareholder litigation among its risk factors. A term Loan closed in September is expected to help fund 2027 capital spending of USD 15 million to USD 20 million, aimed at more measurement instruments, gas conditioning equipment and Manufacturing capacity. Management also aims to extend its technologies to behind-the-meter power generation. The digest holds no peer comparison. An Earnings Call was scheduled for November 4, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. CST. Watch execution on the capital plan, gross margin, and whether the growth in international Chemistry sales continues beyond this quarter.

Where Things Stand

The revenue surge is real and broad, but the 104% headline needs context. Flotek Industries (NYSE:FTK) more than doubled sales, raised guidance and grew adjusted EBITDA 87%, while GAAP net income fell because last year's quarter held a tax benefit. Margins narrowed and a large share of sales depends on one related party. The next checkpoints are the fourth-quarter results against the raised outlook and how the term loan funds the Data Analytics buildout.
