US natural gas futures climbed during today’s session, approaching a three-week high after government data showed a smaller-than-expected increase in storage. Prices rose to around US$3.26 per million British thermal units (MMBtu), up US$0.06, or 1.83%, on the day.
US gasoline futures fell during today’s session, hitting a two-week low, as investors assessed a US proposal to ease sanctions on shadow fleet tankers to reduce petroleum shipping costs and facilitate oil flows. RBOB futures traded near US$3.21 per gallon, down US$0.05, or 1.61%.
