Revenue Milestone

BioMarin Pharmaceutical Inc. (NASDAQ:BMRN) reported third-quarter 2026 total revenues of USD 1.025 billion, up 32% year over year, and the first time quarterly revenue exceeded USD 1 billion. Growth was driven by a 44% increase in metabolic conditions and a 12% increase in skeletal conditions. President and chief executive Alexander Hardy attributed the result to a more diversified portfolio following the Acquisition of Amicus Therapeutics earlier in the year and increased Demand from patients worldwide.

Product Contributions

In the first full quarter as part of the company, GALAFOLD delivered USD 152 million of revenue and POMBILITI plus OPFOLDA delivered USD 49 million. The number of patients treated with GALAFOLD rose about 13% year over year, and patients treated with POMBILITI plus OPFOLDA rose about 69%. POMBILITI plus OPFOLDA uptake benefited from Supply constraints for other Pompe therapies, and management said it expects to see additional patients in the fourth quarter but cannot predict how long the constraints continue or whether they produce material revenue increases.

VOXZOGO revenue grew 12%, with children treated globally up 17% and patients in 58 countries receiving the therapy. More than 75% of VOXZOGO revenue came from outside the United States, and a large international order previously anticipated in the third quarter is now anticipated in the fourth quarter, which explains the order timing uncertainty in guidance. In the United States, most new patient starts were in children under two. Metabolic conditions revenue grew 26% year to date.

Guidance and Pipeline

The company updated full-year 2026 guidance to reflect order timing uncertainty and the impact of two acquired in-process Research and Development charges. It also announced a new investigational Fabry asset, with the potential to become the first subcutaneous enzyme therapy for the condition, the fourth asset added through Business development in 2026. Integration of Amicus continued with accelerated cost synergies, and the company continues to project about USD 280 million of GAAP cost synergies, or about USD 220 million non-GAAP, fully realized in 2028. On August 30, 2026 it announced a global settlement of all outstanding claims with Ascendis Pharma relating to Yuviwel, under which Ascendis pays a Royalty equal to 20% of U.S. net sales of Yuviwel, retroactive to the first commercial sale. Four transactions in 2026 have added programs from preclinical through Phase 3, and management cited five deals in two years.

The FDA set a PDUFA action date of May 30, 2027 for VOXZOGO in hypochondroplasia, and Mr. Hardy described the potential launch as part of the company's next chapter of growth. For Duchenne muscular dystrophy, the company expects to provide a program update by year end.
