Broadridge Financial Solutions (NYSE:BR) reported its fourth-quarter and fiscal 2026 results on August 4, 2026, and the headline that stands out for shareholders is a 12% increase in the annual dividend to $4.36 a share, the twentieth consecutive annual rise.

Behind that sits a business that grew recurring revenue by 8% in constant currency for the year and has guided to six to eight percent recurring growth in fiscal 2027.

What Broadridge Does

Broadridge provides investor communications and post-trade technology to banks, brokers, asset managers and issuers. Investor Communication Solutions handles matters such as proxy and regulatory communications, while Global Technology and Operations provides technology and outsourced operations for trading, settlement and wealth management. Much of its income is recurring, meaning it is contracted and repeated, and the remainder is event-driven, tied to activity such as proxy contests and transaction volumes. It is a financial-technology infrastructure provider in the technology services sector.

Fiscal 2026 Results

For the year ended June 30, 2026, total revenues were $7,477 million, up 9% from $6,889 million. Recurring revenues were $4,878 million. Investor Communication Solutions contributed $5,561 million, up 9%, with pre-tax earnings of $1,104 million, and Global Technology and Operations contributed $1,916 million, up 8%, with pre-tax earnings of $298 million.

GAAP net earnings were $1,124 million, up 34%, and diluted earnings per share were $9.60, up 35% from $7.10. Adjusted earnings per share were also $9.60, up 12% from $8.55. Free cash flow was $1,233 million, a conversion rate of 110%. Closed sales, a measure of new business won, were $305 million, up 6% from $288 million.

The fourth quarter alone produced revenues of $2,220 million, up 7%, recurring revenues of $1,542 million, up 8%, diluted earnings per share of $3.44 and adjusted earnings per share of $3.82. Closed sales in the quarter were $158 million, up 39%.

Fiscal 2027 Outlook

Management guided to recurring revenue growth of six to eight percent in constant currency, adjusted operating income margin of approximately 21%, adjusted earnings per share growth of eight to twelve percent and closed sales of $290 million to $330 million. The board also approved a new $1.5 billion share repurchase authorization.

Risks and Considerations

Because part of the revenue is event-driven, results can fluctuate with proxy activity, trading volumes and market conditions. Closed sales guidance of $290 million to $330 million brackets the fiscal 2026 result of $305 million, so management is not projecting a sharp step-up in new business. Clients in financial services can consolidate or change suppliers, and regulatory change in areas such as shareholder communication or settlement could alter demand. Prior-year comparisons therefore need care.

Broadridge's Closed Sales and the 21% Margin Target

The first fiscal 2027 quarter will offer the earliest test of the recurring revenue guidance and of whether closed sales continue the strong fourth quarter. Readers may also follow the pace of buybacks under the new authorization, margin progress against the 21% target, and the balance between the two segments as Global Technology and Operations grows. The company's reporting currency is the US dollar, so international clients add some currency exposure, which is why recurring growth is quoted in constant currency.
