Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) common stock trades on the Nasdaq Stock Market, as stated in the company's quarterly filing. Apple reported fiscal third-quarter 2026 results for the quarter ended 27 June 2026, with revenue of US$109.4 billion, up 16% from US$94.0 billion a year earlier. Diluted earnings per share were US$2.02, up 29% from US$1.57. Management described both figures as June-quarter records. These are the most recent results Apple has published, dated 30 July 2026, not a same-day development.
Where the growth came from
Apple's Form 10-Q splits net sales by category. All figures below are in US dollars for the quarter, compared with the same quarter of fiscal 2025.
iPhone revenue rose to US$54.3 billion from US$44.6 billion. Mac climbed to US$10.4 billion from US$8.0 billion, and Services increased to US$30.7 billion from US$27.4 billion. Wearables, Home and Accessories edged up to US$7.9 billion from US$7.4 billion, while iPad was the only category to decline, slipping to US$6.2 billion from US$6.6 billion. The company said revenue grew by double digits in every geographic segment. Services, the second-largest category, grew roughly 12% based on the reported figures.
Margins and the tariff refund effect
Gross margin was 50.1%, against roughly 46.5% a year earlier based on the filing figures. Apple said about two percentage points of the gross margin came from tariff refunds, and that those refunds contributed US$0.11 to earnings per share. Excluding that item, underlying earnings per share would have been about US$1.91, which remains a double-digit increase. That adjustment is a calculation from the reported figures, not a number Apple has given as guidance. Operating income was US$35.7 billion, compared with US$28.2 billion, and net income was US$29.8 billion, compared with US$23.4 billion.
Tariff refunds may be non-recurring. The release does not say whether further refunds are expected, and Apple provided no forward guidance in the press release.
Cash returns to shareholders
Apple held US$146.5 billion in cash, cash equivalents and marketable securities at 27 June 2026. During the quarter it repurchased about US$25.9 billion of its common stock, and over the nine months of fiscal 2026 it bought back 215 million shares for US$61.8 billion. Dividends declared in the quarter totalled US$4.0 billion, equal to US$0.27 per share. That dividend had a record date of 10 August 2026 and was paid on 13 August 2026. As of 17 July 2026, Apple had 14,594,180,000 shares outstanding, a figure that shrinks as repurchases continue.
Strategy and product context
Chief executive Tim Cook said the quarter was Apple's strongest June quarter ever, and pointed to the launch at WWDC26 of the redesigned Siri, which the company describes as AI-driven, along with new child safety features. Chief financial officer Kevan Parekh said the installed base of active devices reached an all-time high across major product categories and regions. A larger installed base matters because it underpins Services revenue, which is typically recurring and carries higher margins than hardware.
A Record Quarter With No Guidance and a Margin Boost From Refunds
The reported figures are historical, drawn from Apple's press release and Form 10-Q, and describe the June quarter rather than the current one. Apple did not provide revenue guidance in the release, and the tariff refund also lifted this quarter's margin.
The next milestones are Apple's annual report on Form 10-K for fiscal 2026 and its fiscal fourth-quarter results, and neither date has been confirmed.
