Intel's Classiq Deal Spotlights Quantum Names
Infleqtion (NYSE:INFQ) shares are trading up 10.83% to $9.57 as quantum stocks draw attention after Intel (NASDAQ:INTC) agreed to acquire quantum software firm Classiq. The deal signals big-tech interest in the sector, and a tech and semiconductor-led market rally is adding to risk appetite.
Shares opened at $8.86 and traded between $8.84 and $9.57 on volume of about 4.35 million shares, below average. The 52-week range runs from $8.38 to $21.28.
Infleqtion, headquartered in Louisville, Colorado, is a quantum technology company that delivers neutral-atom solutions for quantum computing, networking, sensing and security. Founded in 2007 as ColdQuanta and rebranded in January 2026, it offers quantum computers, optical atomic clocks, RF receivers and inertial sensors, combined with its Superstaq software platform. It went public through a merger with the blank-check company Churchill Capital X in February 2026.
Analyst Views and Fair Value Estimates Diverge
One published analysis calls Infleqtion the cheapest quantum stock, citing a fair value of $16.50, 30 logical qubits, raised 2026 revenue guidance of $45 million and about $582 million in cash with no debt. Morgan Stanley has an equal-weight rating and a $12 target, while a separate rating service has downgraded the stock to strong sell. The consensus target is $20.43.
Infleqtion has a market cap of $2.16 billion and a loss of $0.21 per share.
Intel's $2.3 Billion Move Raises the Competitive Bar
Intel expects the Classiq transaction to close in the first half of 2027, subject to regulatory approvals, and plans to build a full-stack quantum platform around its spin-qubit technology. That adds a large competitor to a field where Infleqtion is scaling revenue quickly while investing heavily in quantum computing commercialization.
Risk Appetite Helps, but Fundamentals Stay in Focus
The broader market is higher, with the Nasdaq and chip stocks leading ahead of the Fed decision. The net takeaway is that sector sentiment, rather than a company announcement, is lifting the shares, and investors will watch revenue delivery against the $45 million guidance.
