Ituran Location and Control Ltd. (NASDAQ:ITRN) provides connected-vehicle, stolen vehicle recovery and telematics services across Israel, Brazil, Argentina, Mexico and the United States. Figures come from Ituran's second-quarter 2026 release dated August 12, 2026.

Subscription Growth Lifts Profit

For the quarter ended June 30, 2026, Ituran reported revenue of $104.8 million, up 21%, with subscription revenue of $79.8 million, up 25%, and product revenue of $25.0 million, up 8%. The subscriber base reached 2,711,000, including 41,000 net additions in the quarter. Gross Margin was 50.9%, Operating Income was $23.8 million, EBITDA was $28.5 million and Net Income was $17.3 million, or $0.88 per diluted share. Operating Cash Flow was $32.2 million. The company ended the period with $103.7 million of cash and marketable securities and no debt, compared with $107.6 million at year-end 2025. Management did not issue numerical guidance, saying only that it was confident about continued growth and profitability through 2026. The company reported the figures in U.S. dollars.

Dividend and Buyback Outflows

The Balance Sheet gives Ituran flexibility. Despite strong cash generation, the cash balance dipped slightly from year-end because of Shareholder distributions: a $10 million dividend, or $0.50 per share, was declared in May 2026 and paid in July, and the company repurchased $3.0 million of shares during the quarter, with about $10 million of authorization remaining. Subscription revenue made up 76% of sales, a recurring mix that may support cash predictability, while the product segment margin edged down to 25.7% on mix.

Growth in the subscriber base across several countries also exposes the company to currency movements and local competition. Operating Margin improved to 22.7%, helped by the higher-margin subscription mix, and the net income increase of 29% outpaced revenue growth of 21%. Operating cash flow of $32.2 million covered the Dividend and buyback outflows with room to spare, according to the release figures.

Currency and Subscriber Trends

Investors may watch whether the next dividend declaration and buyback pace stay consistent with cash generation, and whether the net cash position is preserved or deployed toward acquisitions or product investment. Subscriber net additions, subscription gross margin and the product mix could indicate whether recent growth is durable. Currency exposure, particularly the Israeli shekel and Latin American currencies, may influence reported dollar results. Regulatory changes in vehicle tracking and insurance requirements in key markets could also matter, as might competition from original equipment manufacturer telematics. Analyst estimates, where available, should be treated as forecasts rather than confirmed outcomes, and management commentary on 2026 could shift as the year progresses. Product sales may also fluctuate with vehicle production and Import trends.

A Debt-Free Capital Framework

Ituran's debt-free balance sheet, recurring subscription base and steady shareholder returns give investors a clear framework for assessing capital allocation. Whether that framework holds will depend on subscriber growth, margins and currency trends.
