Gogo Inc. (NASDAQ:GOGO) is a few days from its third-quarter 2026 report, which the company has scheduled for November 6, 2026. The figures below come from the company's second-quarter release dated August 6, 2026, and are described as reported, as calculated, or as guidance. The analysis separates confirmed results from guidance and from the author's own arithmetic, and it avoids forecasting how the shares may respond.

Revenue Dips, Cash Falls

For the quarter ended June 30, 2026, Gogo reported total revenue of $222.8 million, down 1% year over year, and adjusted EBITDA of $53.7 million, down 13%, including $3.2 million of litigation expense. It posted a net loss of $2.0 million, compared with Net Income of $12.8 million a year earlier. Free Cash Flow was $21.6 million.

Cash fell to $63.1 million from $103.5 million at March 31, after a $40.0 million earn-out payment tied to the Satcom Direct Acquisition and a $21.1 million principal payment on its term loan. Total Debt carrying value was about $816.6 million, which implies net debt near $753 million by our own arithmetic rather than a company-reported figure. Operating Cash Flow was $32.3 million for the quarter, and the company said disciplined execution and debt reduction remain its highest financial priorities over the next several quarters.

Government Work and New Hardware

Business aviation service revenue of $151.3 million fell 8% year over year, while military and government service revenue of $39.9 million rose 40%. Management has described that segment as both a stabilizer and a growth engine. On the product side, Gogo shipped 108 Galileo units in the quarter, bringing cumulative shipments to 518, and had 184 Galileo aircraft online. It sold 138 5G units, with 38 5G aircraft online.

Updated 2026 guidance calls for revenue of $870 million to $895 million, adjusted EBITDA of $175 million to $185 million, and free cash flow of $65 million to $85 million, with litigation expense assumed at $22 million. These are company expectations, not outcomes. Management expects Galileo and 5G to ramp in the second half of 2026, and demonstrations of its HDX product on a Pilatus PC-24 and of 5G were tentatively scheduled for mid-August and late October. Net capital expenditures are assumed at $20 million, which relies on $45 million of FCC Reimbursement Program proceeds.

Guidance and Installations in Focus

Investors may watch whether third-quarter results on November 6 keep the company within its full-year guidance ranges, particularly given the higher litigation expense assumption. The pace of Galileo and 5G installations could indicate whether the second-half ramp management described is materializing. Further term Loan repayments and the cash balance after the earn-out payment may be informative for leverage, which our calculation placed near 4.2 times at the guidance midpoint. The trajectory of Business aviation service revenue against military growth is another point, as is any update on FCC reimbursement proceeds assumed in the Capital Expenditure outlook. Outcomes of the product demonstrations could also draw attention, as could any change in the cadence of Satcom Direct related payments.

Debt Paydown Meets Product Bets

Gogo's recent disclosures describe a company that is investing in new technology while trying to reduce debt, with government work offsetting some softness in its core business aviation market. Whether those pieces fit together may become clearer once the November 6 results are released.
