FingerMotion Drops 24.28% to $0.108 With No Same-Day Announcement Found

FingerMotion (NASDAQ:FNGR) shares are trading down 24.28% today at $0.108, from a prior close of about $0.143. No company announcement dated today was identified, so the latest annual results and financing filings provide the best context.

FingerMotion is a Delaware Holding Company headquartered in Singapore that runs mobile payment and recharge services, Data Analytics and platform-based digital applications in China and selected international markets. Its China operations run through a variable interest entity structure. The shares are a penny stock, and a data page placed the 52-week range at $0.13 to $1.74 as of October 19, so today's price is below that low.

The stock has fallen sharply from the $0.6342 level cited in a June filing, a decline of more than 80% in under five months.

Lower Costs Could Not Offset a 32% Revenue Decline in Fiscal 2026

For the year ended February 28, 2026, revenue fell 32% to $24.13 million from $35.61 million. Telecommunications products and services contributed $23.94 million of the total, down 32%. Gross Profit dropped 75% to $693,845, a gross Margin of about 2.9% versus about 7.8% a year earlier. Fiscal 2025 revenue of $35.61 million shows how much of the Business has shrunk in a single year.

Operating expenses declined 12% to $7.63 million, yet net loss widened 37% to $7.0 million, or $0.12 per share. The company gave no numeric guidance, citing priorities such as strengthening core telecom operations, evaluating selected international markets and improving efficiency.

The smaller segments were mixed. Marketplace platform revenue fell 69% to $25,037, while data and analytics revenue rose to $27,780, both very small against the telecom base.

Thin Cash and a $5 Million Convertible Note Add Dilution Questions

Cash was only $68,596 at fiscal year-end, against total Assets of $60.85 million, total liabilities of $45.70 million and shareholders' Equity of $15.15 million. The accumulated Deficit was $41.2 million, and about 61.3 million shares were outstanding as of May 26, 2026. The company is therefore running with very little Liquidity relative to its obligations.

On May 13, 2026, FingerMotion issued a $5 million senior secured convertible note, with a $700,000 original issue discount and $3.3 million received at closing. The fixed conversion price is $0.94, with monthly Redemption conversions at a lower, floor-limited price, and a prospectus covered up to 16.5 million conversion shares. The last sale price cited in that June filing was $0.6342, well above today's level.

The company noted that the remaining $1 million of the note is released once the SEC declares the registration statement effective.

Falling Share Price Raises the Stakes for the Convertible Note and Revenue Trend at FingerMotion

FingerMotion's cost cuts have not yet translated into smaller losses, and the stock now trades near $0.11. Watch points include the company's next quarterly report, any stockholder vote on issuing conversion shares beyond the 12,256,260 currently permitted, and any Nasdaq listing-standard notices given the sub-$1 price. The note matures one year after its May 2026 closing. Revenue trends in the telecom segment, which supplies nearly all sales, will likely drive the next set of results.
