Avast, part of Gen (NASDAQ:GEN), has launched its AI-powered mobile security solutions, Scam Guardian and Scam Guardian Pro, bringing advanced scam protection to smartphones and tablets. The mobile version extends Avast’s desktop security capabilities to help users detect and prevent sophisticated scams. Scam Guardian is included at no cost with Avast Mobile Security, while Scam Guardian Pro is part of Avast Premium Mobile Security. 

According to Gen Threat Labs, over 80% of attacks on mobile devices since early 2025 have been scams or social engineering attempts. On average, Gen blocks four mobile scam attacks every second.

  • Avast Assistant: Provides AI-driven guidance 24/7, helping users evaluate suspicious emails, texts, or websites. 
  • Web Guard: Monitors every visited website in real time, cross-checking against millions of known dangerous URLs. 

Availability 

Scam Guardian and Scam Guardian Pro are now accessible in France and Germany via Avast Mobile Security and Avast Premium Mobile Security. The company plans to gradually extend these AI-based protection features to additional global markets.
