Cash provided from operations was $643 million and capital expenditures were $171 million, leaving free cash flow, a non-GAAP measure, of $472 million. Capital and Balance Sheet: Senior Notes, Cash and Net Debt
On September 23, 2026, Alcoa completed offerings of $1.5 billion of 6.625 percent senior notes due 2034 and $1.1 billion of 6.875 percent senior notes due 2036. Disclosed Risks and Outlook for Fourth Quarter and 2026
Aluminum shipments decreased 5 percent sequentially, and lower aluminum prices partially offset lower production costs and higher alumina prices. Management said on the call that a fatality occurred on September 16 at the Alumar smelter in Brazil, and that mining approvals for the Western Australia mine plans are taking longer than expected, with the process now extending into 2027.
Alcoa listed risks to the AliGroup transaction, including unmet closing conditions and governmental delay. The Massena East closing is subject to permitting and regulatory approvals.
For 2026, Alcoa reaffirmed Alumina segment production of 9.5 to 9.6 million metric tons and shipments of 11.5 to 11.6 million, and Aluminum segment production of 2.4 to 2.6 million and shipments of 2.6 to 2.8 million. It expects higher production and shipments in both segments in the fourth quarter, with higher raw material costs and planned maintenance weighing on Aluminum segment adjusted EBITDA by approximately $30 million sequentially. Full-year interest expense is expected to approximate $185 million, up from the prior projection. The company expects the AliGroup acquisition to close in the first half of 2027.
