nVent (NYSE:NVT) shares are indicated up 7.04% at $144.00 in premarket after the company announced a lease on new manufacturing space in Goodyear, Arizona, and peer results pointed to strong data center demand. The stock closed Tuesday at $134.53, up 4.14%.
nVent, headquartered in London with a management office in Minneapolis, makes electrical connection and protection solutions, including enclosures, cabinets, racks, grounding and bonding, fastening and cable management, power connectors and liquid cooling. Spun off from Pentair in 2018, it is led by Chair and CEO Beth Wozniak and reports Systems Protection and Electrical Connections segments.
Arizona Site Expands E-House Capacity
The 400,000-square-foot site will expand capacity for engineered buildings, including prefabricated electrical houses, or e-houses, used in power utility, data center and industrial projects. Production is expected to begin in mid-2027, and the plant will employ more than 200 people once fully operational. Financial terms were not disclosed.
"Demand for our engineered building products continues to grow as customers invest in grid modernization, power reliability and other critical infrastructure projects," said Sara Zawoyski, President of nVent Systems Protection. In August, nVent broke ground on a 58,000-square-foot expansion at an existing Southeastern Kansas facility that is expected to create up to 60 skilled trade jobs.
