About JNJ-1900 (NBTXR3)

JNJ-1900 (NBTXR3) is an oncology product made of functionalized hafnium oxide nanoparticles. Administered as a one-time intratumoral injection and activated by radiotherapy, the therapy demonstrated proof-of-concept in soft tissue sarcomas in a 2018 Phase 2/3 study. Its mechanism is designed to induce tumor cell death at the injection site, triggering an adaptive immune response and long-term anti-cancer memory.

The Phase 3 NANORAY-312 trial is a global, randomized study targeting patients with locally advanced head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC).
