Partnership Overview
DocGo Inc. (NASDAQ:DCGO), a provider of mobile health and technology-enabled medical transportation services, announced plans to roll out Longitudinal Care Services in collaboration with a California-based health insurance provider. The initiative aims to improve healthcare access for roughly 10,000 plan members who are currently under-engaged in their medical care.
This expansion extends DocGo’s ongoing partnership with the insurer and leverages the company’s primary and preventive care capabilities. The program will provide preventive health services, chronic condition management, and transitional care support for participating members.
Care Delivery Framework
The program will utilize DocGo’s integrated care delivery model, combining virtual care with in-home clinical visits. Licensed clinicians from DocGo’s affiliated practice group will visit patients at home to conduct preventive and chronic care services. These visits will be supported by connected diagnostic tools that enable advanced practice providers to supervise treatment remotely in real time.
According to the company, the program’s objective is to enhance patient engagement and improve access for those facing challenges in reaching traditional care settings.
Addressing Access Barriers
Research indicates that more than 30% of U.S. adults lack a primary care physician, often resulting in missed preventive checkups and increased reliance on emergency departments for non-urgent care. This gap is particularly significant among vulnerable populations who face transportation and socioeconomic challenges that limit healthcare access.
DocGo noted that this new initiative aims to address those gaps by bringing care directly to patients through a combination of telehealth technology and on-site clinical support.
Management Statement
“Based on the proven success of our care gap closure and transitional care management programs, our partner is expanding this program to include longitudinal care,” said Lee Bienstock, CEO of DocGo. “This expansion with a current partner is a further demonstration of the quality of our offering, and the impact our program can have to improve patient health and insurance payer quality scores. By leveraging our proven technology and dedicated mobile clinicians to remove barriers to care, this program is another step towards our vision of making healthcare available at any address.”
Program Implementation
As part of the collaboration, DocGo will receive patient lists identifying individuals who require chronic condition management and face obstacles to accessing regular medical services. The company plans to deploy its telehealth platform alongside in-person clinical visits to promote continuity of care and increase accessibility.
DocGo stated that it remains focused on working with healthcare plans to enhance equity in care delivery through an integrated model that connects physical and digital health solutions.
