Key Highlights

  • The S-1 chart data lists USD 161.2B for Broadcom, the largest of seven named Anthropic compute commitments totalling USD 637.0B; simple arithmetic puts Broadcom (NASDAQ:AVGO) at about 25.3% of that named total.
  • Named commitments equal 4.8 times Anthropic's USD 131.7B of cash and short-term investments at June 30, 2026, or 13.8 years of Revenue at the Q2 2026 run rate, ratios the chart data labels as calculated.
  • Compared with the other named partners, Broadcom's USD 161.2B exceeds SpaceXAI at USD 120.5B, Google Cloud at USD 114.5B and Amazon at USD 110.0B, according to the S-1 chart data.
  • The chart notes say the S-1 leaves its own aggregate blank and the partner figures are reported secondhand from S-1 pages 171 and 172, while a private bank's note cites a different total.

The Largest Named Commitment

Anthropic filed its S-1 with the SEC on October 26, 2026. Charts built on it name compute commitments by partner: Broadcom at USD 161.2B, SpaceXAI at USD 120.5B, Google Cloud at USD 114.5B, Amazon at USD 110.0B, Microsoft at USD 44.9B, Nscale at USD 44.6B and Lambda at USD 41.3B. These add up to USD 637.0B. The chart notes say estimated extra Google TPU and AMD capacity is excluded and that the S-1's own aggregate is blank. Simple arithmetic on the chart's figures puts Broadcom (NASDAQ:AVGO) at about 25.3% of the named total, and its commitment at roughly 3.5 times Anthropic's USD 46.2B Q2 2026 annualised run rate.

Scale Against the Balance Sheet

The chart data shows cash and short-term investments of USD 131.7B at June 30, 2026, against a net loss of USD 80.7B for the first half, most of it a non-cash fair-value change on convertible notes. Dividing USD 637.0B by cash gives 4.8 times, and dividing it by the Q2 2026 run rate gives 13.8 years; these ratios are labelled calculations in the chart data. On the same arithmetic, the Broadcom (NASDAQ:AVGO) commitment alone is about 1.2 times cash. A commitment is a contractual obligation to buy capacity, so what it means for supplier revenue depends on timing, which the chart data does not give.

Risks and What to Watch

A private bank's CIO office, in a note dated October 29, 2026, says Anthropic has committed at least USD 518 billion to cloud and compute over the next decade, an enormous fixed obligation if Demand cools. That total differs from the USD 637.0B in the S-1 chart data, and we keep the two separate. The note also points to customer concentration, with about 20% of first-half revenue from two customers, and price competition. For Broadcom (NASDAQ:AVGO), items to watch include whether Anthropic's revenue growth keeps pace with its obligations, whether the S-1 itself gives a firm aggregate, and how the two sets of commitment figures are reconciled.

Where Things Stand

Broadcom is the largest named commitment in the S-1 chart data, at USD 161.2B of USD 637.0B, which is why it leads Anthropic's named compute partners. The chart data's own ratios show named commitments at 4.8 times cash, a scale that raises questions about how revenue growth will cover them. A private bank's note cites a different total of at least USD 518 billion, so the totals should be treated as sources that disagree. For Broadcom (NASDAQ:AVGO) this is context, not a forecast, and not advice.
