Baird Medical Shares: What Is Pushing the Penny Stock Lower Again Today?
Baird Medical Investment Holdings (NASDAQ:BDMD) shares are trading 23.08% lower at $0.1923 on Thursday, October 29, 2026. No dated company release accompanied the drop. The most recent announcements were the October 19 regulatory milestones and a third-quarter update on October 5.
The implied prior close was about $0.25 (calculated). Since the $0.4816 close on October 20, shares have lost roughly 60% (calculated). The 52-week range was $0.40 to $3.70 as of that date, and the current price is below the low.
Baird Medical researches, develops, manufactures and sells microwave ablation and related medical devices. The products treat thyroid nodules, liver, lung and breast tumors and uterine fibroids, and they reach mainland China customers through outside distributors. The company is growing in the United States, where it has held FDA 510(k) clearance since November 2023.
Baird Medical Regulatory Wins: What Did the Vietnam and Egypt Milestones Bring?
The company announced on October 19, 2026 that Vietnam had granted Class C registration certificates for its J-series needles for benign thyroid nodules, G-series needles for liver tumors, and two microwave ablation generators. Egypt's drug authority gave preliminary approval in January 2026 to the BD-GT microwave ablation system and related accessories.
Previously, Pakistan registered the BD-GT system and a needle in August, and the company carried out its first procedures in Vietnam and Argentina. It is setting up commercial infrastructure in Argentina, Indonesia and Pakistan, and on August 10 it signed an irreversible electroporation partnership with Alpmed.
In June the company said it would move its global headquarters to New York City to support U.S. commercial plans.
Baird Medical First-Half Results: Does a Small Profit Offset a Weak 2025?
Revenue for the six months ended June 30, 2026 increased to about $9.9 million from $8.0 million, driven by markets outside mainland China, which generated about two-thirds of sales. Gross profit was $8.6 million, and operating expenses declined to $7.8 million from $17.0 million.
Net income was $13,499, versus a net loss of $11.4 million a year before. EBITDA was about $1.6 million and adjusted EBITDA about $4.0 million, against negative figures in the prior year. The results were preliminary and unaudited.
Full-year 2025 revenue was $22.5 million, down 39.2%, a drop the company attributed chiefly to a policy slowdown in China. Trailing twelve-month revenue was about $24.5 million with a net loss near $15.95 million. With about 42.2 million shares outstanding, the current price implies a market value close to $8.1 million (calculated).
