California Nanotechnologies (TSXV:CNO): aerospace and nuclear orders
This is a news piece with a results preview, not a results report: second quarter fiscal 2027 figures were not available at the time of writing, and the calendar lists a consensus loss of USD 0.01 per share and a market value near USD 14.97 million. On October 26, 2026 California Nanotechnologies said it had received purchase orders totaling USD 147,000 from a Texas aerospace company, moving a research and development program into commercial production for satellite components. The company, whose fiscal year ends in February, uses cryomilling and spark plasma sintering to make advanced materials, and its executive Eric Eyerman is due to present at the Planet MicroCap event in Toronto on October 28, 2026. On September 14 the company said it received its largest purchase order to date for boron carbide reactor control components, and on September 16 it signed a development agreement and initial orders with a California Fortune 100 technology company using spark plasma sintering. The first quarter of fiscal 2027 revenue of USD 917,854 was up 28%. The October 21 lease amendment adds production space of about 15,500 square feet, an 80% increase on 19,500 square feet, simple arithmetic.
Canstar Resources (TSXV:ROX): a gold and antimony option deal
This is a no-catalyst piece and results preview, not a results report: no reported figures were available at the time of writing, and the calendar lists a fourth quarter 2026 announcement with no estimate. Canstar Resources is a junior exploration company listed on the TSX Venture Exchange as ROX and quoted over the counter as CSRNF. In March 2026 it announced that Churchill Resources had taken an option on Golden Baie, a gold and antimony project in Newfoundland, and had paid initial cash of CAD 208,167, which reimburses existing cash bonds on the project, together with 15,834,097 Churchill common shares, about 5.0% of Churchill after issuance. Reported figures for the fiscal period were not part of the data reviewed. An option lets Churchill earn the project by meeting conditions over a set period, here 24 months, while Canstar keeps ownership until it is exercised. Canstar can receive up to four further share tranches of about 1.25% of Churchill each, taking its total stake to as much as 9.99%, subject to regulatory limits, and it retains a 0.5% net smelter return royalty, a share of revenue from future production, once the option is exercised. Canstar's own focus stays on Mary March, its flagship project about 20 kilometres east of the Buchans camp, where a CAD 150,000 grant from the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador supports exploration.
Zedge (NYSEAMERICAN:ZDGE): a USD 7.7 million insider investment
Zedge reported results for the fourth quarter and fiscal year ended July 31, 2026 on October 26, 2026. Fourth quarter GAAP net income was USD 0.4 million, or USD 0.03 per share, against a loss of USD 0.6 million a year earlier, and non-GAAP earnings were USD 0.04 per share, matching published consensus. Adjusted EBITDA rose 75.6% to USD 0.5 million, and for the full year it rose 134.2% to USD 4.1 million. Subscription revenue grew 25.6% to USD 1.8 million in the quarter. President Jonathan Reich called fiscal 2026 a strong recovery year driven by monetization improvements and subscription gains. Published market data showed a market value near USD 43.29 million for Zedge (NYSEAMERICAN:ZDGE). The full year GAAP result was a net loss of USD 0.1 million, an improvement of USD 2.3 million, simple arithmetic on two published figures. DataSeeds.AI sells licensed image and other data to artificial intelligence developers, and Zedge says it became a commercial business with repeat orders, a first six-figure order and growing order sizes. In September, Howard Jonas led a USD 7.7 million insider investment to accelerate its growth, and the share repurchase program was suspended in the first quarter of fiscal 2027 because of that capital raise.
Elme Communities (NYSE:ELME): a liquidation plan and remaining distributions
This is a results preview and update, not a results report: no third quarter figures were available at the time of writing, and the most recent company update reviewed is dated May 11, 2026, so later sales or distributions should be confirmed with company filings. Elme sold a 19-property portfolio to an affiliate of Cortland Partners for USD 1.6 billion in November 2025, which funded the first distribution of USD 14.67 per share, paid on January 7, 2026 to holders of record on December 22, 2025. The remaining properties were to be sold by about mid-2026, after which proceeds, net of debt and costs, fund the additional distributions. In its January 23, 2026 update the company estimated additional liquidating distributions of USD 2.35 to USD 2.80 per share, so total distributions of USD 17.02 to USD 17.47. The earlier range of USD 17.40 to USD 18.32 fell mainly because of lower expected gross proceeds for Riverside Apartments and, to a lesser extent, two remaining Washington, D.C. properties as the market softened, plus a higher term loan balance. With about 88.9 million fully diluted shares, the additional distribution implies roughly USD 209 million to USD 249 million, simple arithmetic on two published figures.
Where Things Stand
The answer is that each catalyst is specific and different: orders at California Nanotechnologies, an option payment at Canstar, an insider investment at Zedge and a liquidation at Elme. Reported results were not the driver, and none of the catalysts guarantees a result. California Nanotechnologies (TSXV:CNO) and Elme Communities should be checked against current filings. Next filings from California Nanotechnologies (TSXV:CNO) will add detail. Fresh disclosure from Canstar Resources (TSXV:ROX) is the next test. Official notices from Zedge (NYSEAMERICAN:ZDGE) remain the best guide. Further company updates from Elme Communities (NYSE:ELME) are awaited. Further disclosure from Canstar Resources (TSXV:ROX) would clarify the picture. Official notices from Zedge (NYSEAMERICAN:ZDGE) remain the best guide. Later reporting on Elme Communities (NYSE:ELME) will add detail.
