Key Highlights

  • The Wednesday, October 28, 2026 snapshot orders these names by the depth of their pre-market fall, from Rapport Therapeutics (NASDAQ:RAPP) at 18.12% down to New Oriental Education (NYSE:EDU) at 8.09% down.
  • Enphase Energy (NASDAQ:ENPH), O-I Glass, Inc. (NYSE:OI) and Robinhood Markets (NASDAQ:HOOD) each reacted to results dated Tuesday, October 27, 2026. Rapport had no announcement dated on or just before the session.
  • Outlook is the common thread in the two sharpest earnings reactions. Enphase steered fourth-quarter revenue below its third-quarter level, and O-I Glass reduced its 2026 adjusted EBITDA guidance. Robinhood dropped despite a record top line.
  • Prices stretch from USD 5.51 for O-I Glass to USD 86.80 for Robinhood, and thin pre-market trade means the declines could narrow or deepen at the 9:30 a.m. ET open.

Rapport Therapeutics (NASDAQ:RAPP): a second look at bipolar results

Rapport Therapeutics (NASDAQ:RAPP) is a clinical-stage company whose RAP-219 is aimed at focal onset seizures and acute bipolar mania. The stock was quoted at USD 22.55, down 18.12%, from an implied prior close near USD 27.54. Nothing dated Wednesday, October 28, 2026 or earlier was linked to the slide. The most recent release, of Tuesday, October 20, 2026, presented topline Phase 2 data from the bipolar mania study, so the decline most likely reflects investors digesting those results alongside thin trading, an inference.

Across 253 adults, RAP-219 beat placebo by 3.1 points on the Young Mania Rating Scale at Week 3, with a p-value of 0.045, near the usual 0.05 cutoff. Adverse events were mild or moderate, and 3.2% of patients discontinued against 0.8% on placebo. Two Phase 3 bipolar mania studies are slated to begin in the second half of 2027. Cash of USD 436.1 million at Tuesday, June 30, 2026 is enough to run operations into the second half of 2029, while the quarterly net loss was USD 56.6 million.

Enphase Energy (NASDAQ:ENPH): fourth-quarter guidance below the third quarter

Enphase Energy (NASDAQ:ENPH) builds solar microinverters, batteries and energy management software for homes. Shares fell 17.51% to USD 24.55, against a prior close near USD 29.76. The trigger was the third-quarter release of Tuesday, October 27, 2026, issued after the bell, which combined a profitable quarter with a fourth-quarter revenue outlook below the third quarter. Management pointed to higher interest rates and the expiry of the Section 25D federal tax credit. U.S. sell-through grew 5% sequentially yet dropped 35% from a year earlier.

Third-quarter revenue of USD 293.3 million compares with USD 410.4 million a year earlier, a decline of about 28.5%. GAAP diluted EPS was USD 0.17 and non-GAAP EPS USD 0.41. Fourth-quarter revenue guidance of USD 225.0 million to USD 255.0 million centres about 18% below the third quarter, with GAAP gross margin of 38.0% to 41.0%. Optimists cite USD 931.8 million of cash and marketable securities and customer pilots of the IQ SST data centre power product in 2027.

O-I Glass, Inc. (NYSE:OI): lower 2026 guidance and no 2027 targets

O-I Glass, Inc. (NYSE:OI) manufactures glass containers for beverage and food makers worldwide. Shares dropped 14.31% to USD 5.51. The third-quarter report came after the close on Tuesday, October 27, 2026, with a call at 8:00 a.m. ET on Wednesday, October 28, 2026. Net sales were USD 1,623 million versus USD 1,653 million, the net loss attributable to the company was USD 13 million, and adjusted EBITDA slid to USD 234 million from USD 329 million. The company trimmed 2026 guidance and withdrew its 2027 targets.

The 2026 adjusted EBITDA range now sits at USD 925 million to USD 950 million, down from USD 1,000 million to USD 1,100 million, with free cash flow expected near negative USD 300 million. Europe's segment operating profit collapsed to USD 2 million from USD 95 million, while the Americas held at USD 137 million. Year-end leverage is guided to 4.5 to 5.0 times, and a proposed European plant closure brings USD 100 million to USD 120 million of charges. The Fit to Win programme still aims for at least USD 650 million of cumulative benefits by the end of 2027.

Robinhood Markets (NASDAQ:HOOD): record revenue, lower profit

Robinhood Markets (NASDAQ:HOOD) operates a retail platform for stocks, options, crypto and retirement accounts. The shares dipped 8.21% to USD 86.80 after its Tuesday, October 27, 2026 release covering the quarter ended September 30, 2026. Revenue hit a record USD 1,424 million, up 12%, but net income fell 14% to USD 476 million and diluted EPS came in at USD 0.51 versus USD 0.61. Profit lagging revenue is the probable reason for the reaction, an inference.

Operating expenses climbed 16% to USD 739 million, outpacing revenue. Platform assets grew 19% to USD 396 billion, funded customers rose 7% to 28.7 million, and Gold subscribers rose 34% to 5.2 million. Net deposits in October topped USD 13 billion. The 2026 adjusted expense outlook was narrowed to USD 2.675 billion to USD 2.75 billion, though it leaves out regulatory matters, credit loss provisions and costs tied to a pending acquisition.

New Oriental Education (NYSE:EDU): a dip ahead of its results date

New Oriental Education (NYSE:EDU) offers private educational services in China, with American depositary shares listed in New York. The shares fell 8.09% to USD 53.30. Wednesday, October 28, 2026 was the scheduled date for first-quarter fiscal 2027 results, covering the quarter ended Monday, August 31, 2026, and nothing else was announced. Positioning ahead of that report plus thin trading seems the likely cause, an inference.

The July 29, 2026 release reported fiscal 2026 net revenues of USD 5,661.3 million, up 15.5%, and attributable net income of USD 475.2 million, up 27.8%. Fourth-quarter revenue grew 23.0%, while non-GAAP net income dropped 10.5%. Fiscal 2027 revenue guidance of USD 6,453.9 million to USD 6,680.3 million, implying growth of 14% to 18%, is preliminary. Regulatory change affecting education in China is the main named risk.

Where Things Stand

Three of the five falls are results reactions, one is a biotech repricing and one comes before a results date. Enphase Energy (NASDAQ:ENPH) and O-I Glass, Inc. (NYSE:OI) dropped on outlooks weaker than their reported quarters, Robinhood Markets (NASDAQ:HOOD) on costs that grew faster than revenue, Rapport Therapeutics (NASDAQ:RAPP) on data already out, and New Oriental Education (NYSE:EDU) ahead of its report.

Looking forward: the New Oriental results and the O-I Glass call, both on Wednesday, October 28, 2026, the Federal Reserve decision later that day and Rapport's fourth-quarter 2026 open-label safety data. Pre-market quotes are snapshots that can shift, and this is not investment advice.
