O-I Glass: Why Did a European Profit Collapse Force an Outlook Cut?

O-I Glass, a maker of glass containers for beverages and food, posted a third-quarter adjusted loss of $0.09 per share against adjusted earnings of $0.48 a year earlier. Net sales slipped 2% to $1,623 million, and adjusted EBITDA fell to $234 million from $329 million. As screened, the $0.16 estimate implied a 155.79% negative surprise.

Europe was the problem: segment operating profit dropped to $2 million from $95 million as pricing fell 3.8% and volume fell 3.7%. Free cash flow for 2026 is now guided to about negative $300 million, leverage to 4.5 times to 5.0 times, and fourth-quarter charges of $100 million to $120 million are tied mainly to a proposed European plant closure with no final decision made.

Euronet Worldwide: How Far Did Cross-Border Payments Pull the 2026 Outlook Down?

Euronet Worldwide runs ATM and merchant payments networks, prepaid digital content distribution and money transfer services. Third-quarter adjusted EPS of $3.55 was down 2% from $3.62, and the screened estimate of $3.69 implied a 3.82% shortfall. Revenue rose 1% to $1,161.1 million, but adjusted EBITDA fell 8% to $226.1 million.

Cross-Border Payments operating income dropped 37% to $37.3 million on a 5% revenue decline, which management tied to U.S. immigration policy and global economic uncertainty. The 2026 outlook now calls for adjusted EPS growth of about 10%, revenue of about $4.375 billion and adjusted EBITDA near $725 million. The company bought back $50 million of shares and cut total indebtedness by $476.7 million to $2,177.3 million.

Simply Good Foods sells protein and low-sugar nutrition products under the Quest, Atkins and OWYN brands. Atkins fell 14.9% and OWYN 20.6%, while Quest declined about 6.7%.

Fiscal 2027 guidance calls for net sales down 13% to 17% and Adjusted EBITDA down 9% to 14%, with the first quarter weaker at sales down 19% to 22% and Adjusted EBITDA down 28% to 33%. Management called the year challenging but important in a turnaround. The company repurchased $213.3 million of stock in fiscal 2026 and ended with net debt at 0.9 times Adjusted EBITDA.

Enphase Energy: What Does a Sharply Lower Fourth-Quarter Guide Say About U.S. Demand?

Enphase Energy makes solar microinverters and batteries. Third-quarter revenue of $293.3 million was down from $410.4 million a year earlier, and non-GAAP EPS of $0.41 compared with a screened estimate of $0.50. Non-GAAP gross margin was 45.0%, down from 49.2% a year ago.

Fourth-quarter revenue is guided to $225 million to $255 million, with non-GAAP gross margin of 40.0% to 43.0%. Management said the end of the Section 25D credit and higher interest rates weigh on core U.S. residential demand, and it assumes fourth-quarter sell-through falls about 10%.

Beta Bionics: Will the Mint Launch Defer Fourth-Quarter Revenue?

Beta Bionics, the maker of the iLet pump, reported third-quarter net sales of $35.5 million, up 30% from $27.3 million, with a net loss of $24.4 million, or $0.52 per share. Pharmacy channel sales rose 118% to $13.6 million, and gross margin was 57.3%.

Management narrowed 2026 revenue guidance to $124 million to $126 million from $121 million to $126 million, but said up to $8.5 million of fourth-quarter revenue could shift as prospective users wait for Mint, which has FDA clearance. It expects to recapture that revenue in 2027, with full U.S. commercial launch in the first quarter.

Pulmonx: Does Holding Guidance Mean the Turnaround Is Intact?

Pulmonx sells the Zephyr Endobronchial Valve for severe emphysema in more than 25 countries. Third-quarter revenue rose 6.2% to $22.8 million, the net loss narrowed to $8.4 million, or $0.19 per share, from $14.0 million, and operating expenses fell 18% to $24.9 million. As screened, the estimate was a loss of $0.26 per share.

Revenue guidance stayed at $90 million to $92 million and the gross margin target moved to about 77%, but the distributor in China sold nothing in the quarter while it restarts after renewing its registration certificate. Cash fell to $52.7 million from $69.8 million at year-end 2025, and management expects a decline of about $22 million in 2026 with no extra credit facility drawdowns.

Cautious Outlooks Compared: How Big Were the Guidance Changes?

On a calculated basis, O-I Glass lowered the midpoint of its 2026 adjusted EBITDA range to $937.5 million from $1,050 million, a cut of about 10.7%, and moved its free cash flow midpoint from negative $100 million to about negative $300 million. Euronet Worldwide's EPS growth guide of about 10% sits 2.5 percentage points below the 12.5% midpoint of the prior 10% to 15% range. Enphase Energy's fourth-quarter revenue midpoint of $240 million is about 18.2% below its $293.3 million third-quarter figure.

Simply Good Foods has the deepest stated declines, with a first-quarter sales midpoint of down 20.5% against a full-year midpoint of down 15%. Beta Bionics raised the midpoint of its revenue range by $1.5 million to $125 million, yet the $8.5 million deferral equals 6.8% of that midpoint (calculated). Pulmonx is the only one to hold its revenue range unchanged, and its fourth-quarter revenue must reach about $23.8 million to $25.8 million to land inside it, per calculation from nine-month revenue.

What to Watch Next: Plant Closure Decisions, Mint Launch and China Restart

Enphase Energy plans a megawatt-scale solid-state transformer demonstration by the end of 2026, while Simply Good Foods will report fiscal first-quarter results against a guide of sales down 19% to 22%. Euronet Worldwide investors will track whether the constant currency decline in Cross-Border Payments keeps narrowing from 4%, and Pulmonx's China distributor restart is the key marker for its fourth quarter.
