Skycap Investment Holdings commits US$4.17 million to Clean Metals Recycling via SAFE structure.
Investment targets consolidation in high-margin, cash-flowing environmental services businesses across the U.S.
Skycap reaffirms focus on sectors with positive fundamentals and clear paths to liquidity.
Skycap Investment Holdings Inc. (CSE:SKY), formerly known as Li-Metal Corp., has announced a strategic investment of US$4.17 million into Clean Metals Recycling N.A. Inc., a Canadian environmental services and critical materials company. The investment was made through a Simple Agreement for Future Equity (SAFE), which will convert into equity upon Clean Metals' next financing round.
Clean Metals, based in Canada, specializes in the recovery of valuable metals from hazardous waste, end-of-life vehicles, and industrial by-products. The company is rapidly executing a national roll-up strategy across the United States, aiming to acquire high-margin, cash-flow-positive businesses in the environmental services sector.
Skycap’s decision to back Clean Metals aligns with its strategy of targeting investments that promise significant fundamentals and defined liquidity pathways. The company believes Clean Metals' consolidation model, focused on smaller, profitable firms in underserved segments, holds significant long-term upside. By investing early, Skycap aims to benefit from Clean Metals' projected growth and operational efficiencies as it integrates multiple acquisitions.
“The Clean Metals team is pursuing a sharp and scalable strategy in a vital sector,” said a Skycap spokesperson. “We see real value in their approach to aggregating profitable yet often overlooked businesses in environmental services. This investment reflects our belief in the transformative potential of this sector and the strong execution capabilities of Clean Metals.”
The company is committed to delivering shareholder liquidity outcomes by allocating resources to sectors with significant upside and a clear path to monetization.
The investment further signals Skycap’s transition from its legacy operations under the Li-Metal Corp. brand into a more diversified investment platform.
