Five companies reported on October 29, 2026 with outlooks that moved up in some form. Civeo (NYSE:CVEO) reported third quarter revenue of $193.1 million, up 13%, and raised 2026 revenue guidance to $710 million to $720 million. Alliant Energy (NASDAQ:LNT) reported GAAP EPS of $1.52 and narrowed its 2026 range upward.

The moves are not identical. World Kinect raised both ends of its range, Civeo and ACCO Brands raised their outlooks, and Columbia Sportswear and Alliant Energy raised the low end only.

Civeo: How much did Canada's 38% revenue jump lift the outlook?

Civeo reported revenue of $193.1 million against $170.5 million, Net Income of $5.2 million, or $0.50 per diluted share, and adjusted EBITDA of $30.1 million. Canadian revenue rose 38% on higher occupancy at oil sands lodges, reflecting stronger-than-expected turnaround activity.

The company raised 2026 revenue guidance to $710 million to $720 million and adjusted EBITDA guidance to $89 million to $92 million. It also lifted Capital Expenditure guidance to $30 million to $35 million to prepare Canadian Assets for contracted deployments. Since the end of the second quarter it secured contracts for roughly 700 mobile fleet rooms across Canada, and management expects back half Canadian revenue in local currency to rise about 30% year over year.

World Kinect: What sits behind the raised $3.52 to $3.62 range?

World Kinect reported revenue up 41% from $9.39 billion, yet total Volume slipped 6% to 4,038 million gallons and gallon equivalents. Diluted EPS was $0.70 against $0.46, and adjusted EPS was $0.99 against $0.54. Marine Gross Profit rose 131% to $59 million.

Full year 2026 adjusted EPS guidance was raised to $3.52 to $3.62 from $3.20 to $3.40. Adjusted EPS for the first nine months was already $3.02, so the new range implies a fourth quarter of roughly $0.50 to $0.60 on a calculated basis. Operating Cash Flow was $175 million and free cash flow was $164 million.

Columbia Sportswear: Which parts of the guidance moved up and which moved down?

Net sales were $962.6 million against $943.4 million, and diluted EPS was $1.66 against $0.95. The prior year quarter included $29.0 million of Impairment charges. Operating Margin was 11.4%, versus 7.1%.

Full year diluted EPS guidance is $4.65 to $4.90, with the low end raised from $4.45. Net sales guidance is $3.46 billion to $3.50 billion, against a prior range of $3.43 billion to $3.50 billion. Operating cash flow guidance, however, was cut to $230 million to $250 million from $290 million to $310 million, and fourth quarter EPS is guided to $1.85 to $2.10.

ACCO Brands: How much of the raised outlook is tariff refund?

Net sales fell 0.9% to $380.3 million, and comparable sales declined 6.2% as technology peripherals softened. Diluted EPS was $0.12 and adjusted EPS was $0.28 against $0.21. Net tariff refunds added $15.1 million to operating income, or $0.11 per diluted share.

The outlook now includes one quarter of expected sales from the Trust acquisition, which closed on October 1, 2026. ACCO Brands expects reported sales to rise 4.0% to 6.0%, adjusted EPS of $0.98 to $1.02 including $0.12 from the refund, free cash flow of about $100 million and year-end Leverage of about 3.5 times. Excluding the refund, the guidance midpoint is about $0.88 on a calculated basis.

Alliant Energy: Is a narrowed range a raised range?

Alliant Energy narrowed 2026 ongoing EPS guidance to $3.41 to $3.46 from $3.36 to $3.46, so the low end rose and the top end did not change. The company said the range sits in the top half of its original guidance. GAAP EPS was $1.52 against $1.09 a year earlier.

For 2027 it issued ongoing EPS guidance of $3.63 to $3.73, raised its annual Dividend target to $2.25 from $2.14, and lifted its four-year capital expenditure forecast 19% to $15.9 billion. Contracted Data Center Demand stands at 3.4 gigawatts.

How do the raised ranges compare on a calculated basis?

The size of each move differs. World Kinect's range midpoint rose from $3.30 to $3.57, an increase of $0.27 or about 8.2% (calculated). Columbia Sportswear's low end rose $0.20, about 4.5% (calculated), while Alliant Energy's low end rose $0.05, about 1.5% (calculated).

Civeo's new midpoints imply revenue of about $715 million and adjusted EBITDA of about $90.5 million, a margin near 12.7% (calculated). Columbia Sportswear's cash flow cut of $60 million at the midpoint is about 20% (calculated), a reminder that a higher Earnings range can sit beside a lower cash outlook.

Alliant Energy's 2027 midpoint of $3.68 is about 7.1% above the new 2026 midpoint of $3.435 (calculated). The company itself frames 2027 as 8% growth over the midpoint of its original 2026 range.
