Guidance Points to Further Growth

Management described the implied sequential revenue gain of about USD 350 million as larger than the company's entire quarterly revenue two years ago.

The company said it secured its second major co-packaged and near-packaged optics win during the quarter, backed by purchase commitments above USD 5 billion, and that cloud modules continued to show improvement on the gross margin line. Management also said visibility into optical circuit switch Demand has widened, positioning optical switching as a multi-billion-dollar annual revenue stream.

Metrics to Track

The non-GAAP operating margin guidance of 45.0% to 46.0% compares with 42.3% in the quarter just reported and 36.6% in the fourth quarter of fiscal 2026. Items to follow include the conversion of the optical commitments into shipments, the gross margin trend in cloud modules and the cash balance after the quarterly decline. No GAAP reconciliation was provided for the forward non-GAAP outlook because the company cited limited visibility into adjustments such as stock-based compensation and restructuring charges.
