Election-Cycle Deposits and Disclosed Risks

Political organization deposits drive the bank's seasonality, and balances usually build ahead of federal elections before declining in the quarters around them. The company said these deposits are now flowing out, that the outflows are anticipated to continue through the fourth quarter of 2026 and may extend into early 2027, and that their size and timing are difficult to predict. Off-balance-sheet One-Way Sell deposits fell to USD 498.5 million from USD 668.0 million at June 30.

The same flows affected trust assets, with assets under administration of USD 732.6 million, down USD 40.2 million from June 30 on custody outflows including political organization clients. Assets under management rose USD 3.9 million to USD 261.2 million. The release gave no numerical earnings guidance.
