The S&P 500 closed at 7,722.72 (+0.73%), recovering from an intraday low of 7,700.51 and approaching the recent resistance zone around 7,750–7,800. Price remains above the 20 EMA (7,680.44), 50 EMA (7,637.75), 100 EMA (7,516.38) and 200 EMA (7,264.59), preserving the broader bullish trend, although the index continues to consolidate below its recent highs. The RSI is 54.84, indicating neutral-to-positive momentum without overbought conditions. The key near-term pivot is 7,680–7,700: holding above this zone supports a retest of 7,750–7,800, while a break below the 20 EMA could expose support near 7,638, followed by 7,516. The base case is range-bound consolidation within a broader uptrend, with a sustained breakout above 7,800 needed to strengthen bullish continuation.
