Turkcell (NYSE:TKC), a leading telecommunications and technology provider in Türkiye, has entered into a strategic partnership with Google Cloud. As part of the agreement, Google Cloud will establish a new cloud region in Türkiye, providing local organizations with advanced digital infrastructure and low-latency cloud services. 

The multi-year collaboration will expand Turkcell’s data center and cloud operations while facilitating digital transformation for enterprises across Türkiye and the broader region. Turkcell will also act as a reseller of Google Cloud solutions to local businesses. 

Capabilities of the New Cloud Region 

The new Google Cloud region will deliver high-performance services, including data analytics, cybersecurity, and digital business solutions. These services are expected to help enterprises scale efficiently, accelerate innovation, and strengthen Türkiye’s digital ecosystem. 

Turkcell plans to integrate Google Cloud technologies into its operations, enhancing service delivery and expanding its cloud offerings to local enterprises.

Market Outlook 

IDC projects Türkiye’s public cloud services market to grow from 1.7B USD in 2024 to 4.2B USD by 2029, representing a 20% CAGR. The establishment of a local Google Cloud region is expected to accelerate market expansion, develop the local digital ecosystem, and create opportunities for start-ups, technology providers, and enterprises.
