Stellantis (NYSE:STLA) has taken a major step toward improving the electric vehicle ownership experience by announcing the adoption of the North American Charging System for select battery-electric vehicles across North America, Japan, and South Korea. The decision positions Stellantis alongside a growing list of global automakers transitioning to Tesla’s charging standard in an effort to expand charging options and reduce range concerns for EV drivers. 

Beginning in early 2026, Stellantis BEVs in North America will gain access to more than 28,000 Tesla Superchargers, significantly enhancing public fast-charging availability. For customers in Japan and South Korea, NACS integration is planned for 2027, extending the benefits to additional regions where EV adoption continues to accelerate. 

This new compatibility aims to increase convenience, improve long-distance travel reliability, and strengthen consumer confidence in Stellantis’ expanding all-electric lineup. 

Early Vehicle Integration Includes Key Jeep and Dodge Models 

The rollout will begin with a selection of current and upcoming Stellantis BEVs. Among the first models to receive NACS support are the Jeep Wagoneer S and Dodge Charger Daytona, two high-profile offerings in the company’s electric strategy. These vehicles will gain the ability to charge seamlessly at Tesla Supercharger locations once adapter solutions and software integration are finalized. 

Looking ahead, Stellantis will extend compatibility to the fully electric 2026 Jeep Recon, along with a range of yet-to-be-announced electric models across its portfolio. The company’s multi-brand approach provides adiversifiedpath to electrification across Jeep, Dodge, Chrysler, Ram, Fiat, and Peugeot, all of which are expected to transition various vehicles to the NACS ecosystem. 

As the industry shifts toward unifying charging standards, the move aligns Stellantis with broader consumer expectations for reliable, widely available charging access. 

Future Updates on Adapters and International Rollout 

Stellantis clarified that more information on adapter support, network accessibility, and compatibility timelines for existing BEVs will be shared closer to launch. These updates will be crucial for current EV owners who may need transitional hardware before native NACS ports are integrated into future model years. 

In Japan and South Korea, the company plans to implement NACS capability beginning in 2027, acknowledging both regional charging infrastructure considerations and regulatory pathways.
