Kodiak AI, Inc. (NASDAQ:KDK) announced its third quarter 2025 financial results and operational updates. During the quarter, the company deployed five additional Kodiak Driver-powered trucks to Atlas Energy Solutions, bringing the total number of fully driverless trucks to 10, a 100% increase from Q2.
Through Q3, Kodiak Driver-powered trucks logged over 5,200 cumulative hours of paid driverless operations, marking a 166% increase from the previous quarter. As of September 30, the Kodiak Driver has driven over 3 million autonomous miles and completed more than 10,000 customer loads.
Kodiak finalized its business combination with Ares Acquisition Corporation II in September 2025 and began trading on Nasdaq under the ticker symbol “KDK.” The company closed Q3 with cash and cash equivalents of USD 146.2 Mn, which includes proceeds from the business combination net of transaction-related fees.
Technological and Safety Updates
During the quarter, Kodiak introduced a generative AI system to manage complex edge case scenarios. The company began hauling double trailers in the industrial segment and integrated NXP ISO 26262-compliant processors and interface solutions to enhance Kodiak Driver uptime. Kodiak’s long-haul autonomous trucks also achieved top scores in an independent safety evaluation by Nauto.
Kodiak received a regulatory waiver allowing “warning beacons” to replace physical warning triangles behind disabled trucks. Roush Industries, the company’s manufacturing partner, completed production of its first driverless-ready truck, and the partnership with Tier 1 automotive supplier ZF was expanded to supply 100 advanced steering systems with redundant components.
