Second-Quarter Revenue Jumps 144.9% on an IP Collaboration and Profit Returns
In its second-quarter 2026 report on July 31, GigaMedia posted revenue of $2.13 million, up 182.3% from the first quarter and 144.9% from the year-earlier quarter. Management credited an intellectual property collaboration around a licensed game operated in Hong Kong. Gross Profit rose to $1.24 million.
The operating loss narrowed to $0.10 million from $0.95 million in the first quarter. Net Income reached $0.55 million, or $0.05 per diluted share, against a net loss of $0.88 million in the first quarter and $0.84 million a year earlier. Non-operating income of $0.65 million helped, including a $0.37 million deemed disposal gain tied to the Aeolus reclassification.
Non-GAAP EBITDA was $0.32 million, compared with a loss of $1.22 million in the prior quarter. Trailing twelve-month revenue is $4.63 million, up 42.4%. First-quarter revenue had been about $0.75 million, which makes the second-quarter jump the main swing Factor in the year's results so far.
Cash of $29.0 Million and a 33.35% Aeolus Robotics Stake Anchor the Balance Sheet

Before today's move, the Market Value was about $13.8 million, well below the cash balance and book equity, a gap that reflects how the market has priced the shares rather than any change in the reported figures.
Second-Half Engagement Plans and Strategic Investment Search Are the Next Markers
The CEO said the company aims to build on the quarter's momentum and deepen customer engagement in the second half of 2026, and management is evaluating strategic investment targets. The stock's 52-week range runs from $1.11 to $1.67, so today's price sits in the middle of that band. The company also held its Annual General Meeting on June 25, 2026.
Investors will look to the third-quarter report to see whether licensed game revenue holds up, and for any update on Aeolus or new investments. Until then, today's gain appears unrelated to a disclosed development.
