The Cohere Agreement
Boost Run Inc. (NASDAQ:BRUN) announced on October 6, 2026 a five-year AI cloud services compute agreement valued at about USD 525.6 million. The company release did not name the customer, but the 8-K filed the same day identifies Cohere Inc., and the agreement is dated September 30, 2026. It covers dedicated NVIDIA GB300 NVL72 systems with network storage and CPU node services. The company said commitments across all signed contracts now exceed USD 2.6 billion. Published market data show shares up about 5.5 percent at USD 15.11 in the session, after earlier reports of gains of 9.5 percent to 11 percent. Simple arithmetic on the contract value gives about USD 105 million a year, if spread evenly.
From Commitments to Revenue
A contract commitment is not recognized revenue. Under the agreement, each infrastructure rack runs about five years from acceptance, with first acceptance expected in early the second quarter of 2027, so little revenue arrives before then. The structure includes a prepayment from Cohere, and the 8-K says Boost Run has guaranteed any refund of prepaid amounts up to the prepayment received. CEO Andrew Karos called it an important step in deploying the company's financing into contracted revenue. Boost Run is an NVIDIA Preferred Cloud Partner. The gap is wide against trailing revenue of USD 31.14 million and a Market Value near USD 1.2 billion, which is why delivery speed, not signing, now drives the story.
Risks, Levels and What to Watch
The risks are execution, financing and concentration. Debt-to-equity is 4.36, return on Equity is negative 65.4 percent, and cash stands at USD 120.17 million in published data. Cohere can terminate with a refund if minimum infrastructure is not accepted by July 15, 2027, so delays carry a cash cost. Shares trade below the 20-day average of USD 16.17, the 50-day average of USD 17.91 and the 200-day average of USD 18.31, within a 52-week range of USD 10.59 to USD 42.00. The stock opened above the prior close and faded, so the session did not confirm a breakout. Investors should watch quarterly results, any new financing and rack acceptance updates ahead of the July 15, 2027 deadline.
Where Things Stand
Boost Run (NASDAQ:BRUN) drew heavy trading and a gain of about 5.5 percent because it signed a five-year, USD 525.6 million agreement with Cohere that lifts commitments above USD 2.6 billion. The contract is large beside trailing revenue of USD 31.14 million, but revenue starts only after acceptance in early the second quarter of 2027, and refund rights add risk. Delivery will decide whether the commitments become earnings.
