The company operates through Mineral Sands Mining and Production; Mineral Sands Exploration; Graphite Mining and Production; and Exploration Activities segments. It produces mineral sands deposits, such as ilmenite, zircon rutile, and garnet concentrates, as well as magnetite, sapphire, diamond, and staurolite. The company is also involved in the graphite concentrate production. In addition, it holds interests in the Tormin mineral sands project located in the Western Cape Province of South Africa; the Xolobeni Mineral Sands project situated on the Eastern Cape of South Africa; the Skaland graphite operation located in the northern Norway on the island of Senja; and the Munglinup graphite project located in the Great Southern region of Western Australia. The company was incorporated in 1970 and is headquartered in Belmont, Australia.
