Last week, commodities prices witnessed a bullish momentum. Precious metals witnessed positive movement, led by Gold with a 2.13% positive weekly settlement amid the downside in the US dollar index. Moreover, Silver prices too closed higher with a weekly gain of 0.28%. Base metals also traded on a positive tone last week where Copper and Zinc prices witnessed a weekly gain of 3.03% and 3.81%, respectively, while Lead prices settled with a weekly gain of 2.38%.
On the Energy front, Natural gas prices bounced sharply in the last week and settled with a weekly gain of 18.09%; moreover, Crude Oil prices settled at a weekly gain of 4.40%. Meanwhile, Agricultural commodities prices were closed on a mixed note.
In the current week, commodities erased last week's gains and trading on a bearish note. The leading indicator RSI (14-period) is moving below the midpoint and showing a reading of ~42.50.
