Last week, commodities prices declined amid increased in US Dollar Index. Gold prices felt the pressure from higher levels and settled with a weekly loss of 1.28%. Also, Silver prices closed with a loss of 1.63%. On the Energy front, Crude Oil prices witnessed sharp declined and settled at a weekly loss of 4.22%. Moreover, Natural gas prices also declined and settled with a weekly loss of 9.78%. Meanwhile, Agricultural commodities prices were traded in a weak tone last week.

In the current week, most of the commodity’s prices are trading in a mixed tone. The precious metals prices are trading in a mixed tone in the current week. On the energy front, Crude Oil prices are getting resistance at higher levels while Natural gas prices are also trading at lower levels. The agricultural commodities basket is trading in a positive tone in the existing week.

Price Action and Technical Indicator Analysis:

NYMEX Natural Gas April Futures' prices are taking support of a downward sloping trend line, indicating the possibility of an uptrend. There is a positive RSI divergence with prices clearly visible on a daily chart that further support the prices in the coming period. Moreover, the leading indicator RSI (14-period) is trading at oversold region at ~27.12 level, that indicates profit booking might occur in the commodity. The prices are trading below the trend following indicator 21-period and 50-period SMA on a weekly chart, which may act as an immediate resistance level in the near term.

Now the next crucial resistance levels appear to be at USD 2.294 and USD 2.340, and prices may test these levels in the coming sessions (1-2 weeks).
